Introduction
Welcome to my blog.

At 53 years young I have been an avid beauty and makeup enthusiast for almost 4 decades. As a scientist I have been looking at products and routines from a scientists' prospective for that entire time. From doing experiments trying products on one side of my face to researching chemicals and making some of my own treatments and peels I have always looked at skincare like one big science experiment.
When I was younger my main problems were acne, and oily hair and skin. As I have reached the half century mark I am now plagued by wrinkles, crows feet, droopy eyes and sagging jowls. I am also experiencing menopause with its many unpleasant symptoms.
Through scientific research and some experimentation as well as the advice of experts I have found a routine that works great for me. Proof that it works is the fact that people are astounded when they find out my age. My skin looks firm and thick, not thin and crepey and sag and wrinkles are at a minimum. Also I have been able to allieviate many of the unpleasent symptoms of menopause.
I love makeup of all kinds, but I don't want to spend a lot of makeup, and I don't want to look ridiculous using products that look too young for me or don't look natural. I do however love to look trendy and try out all the latest trends. Just wait until you read my blog post on skin highlighters. Dull skin can become an issue as skin ages and dries out and there are some great products out there to get rid of that dull skin and give you a natural healthy looking glow that will take years off your face.
I love to shop and while I love all the packaging and glamour that goes into high end products I will hunt down a good deal like a blood hound too. My blog will contain some money saving tips and some products that do the same job and contain the same ingredients as high end products.
